Kids Across Africa Camps-Rwanda has a vision that dramatically correlates with what is already happening in the small nation located in the very heart of Africa. According to the country’s Vision 2020 plan, “Rwanda looks at its population as a fundamental resource and particularly relies on it for its future development.” Over 60% of Rwanda’s population is under age 25, and the government has identified the importance of educating its population in both cultural values and professional skills. Rwanda has been most known worldwide for its 1994 genocide but is now receiving attention for its rapid economic development and work of reconciliation. As this country looks to the future, its people’s character and leadership are essential in maintaining the forward progress. Kids Across Africa, with its emphasis on training servant leaders, has an opportunity to partner with the people of Rwanda, transform the country through its youth, and from there, further the spread of God’s love throughout the entire continent.
